Awards are a way to win the game. If you amass 100 awards, the game ends with a victory.
Awards were added in alpha 4.
Some awards can be earned through special events that trigger as you progress through the game. The number one way to win awards however, is by winning the Theme-of-the-Month Award.
At the beginning of each month, a new theme/genre is randomly chosen as theme of the month. To win this award, you must publish a themed issue that also reaches a minimum score. This target score is generated, based on your performance in the game so far, and will therefore change with every game and award.
Unlocking an award also comes with a points bonus and a boost in subscribers.
